Perfect for a summer morning or an after dinner treat, this was a crisp, cold, citrus flavored smoothie made perfect with the tart sweetness of the pineapple. With barely a hint of actual coconut flavor, the coconut water makes a much lighter smoothie than the creamier dairy based smoothies that are so popular. These ice cubes are sure to be in my freezer all summer long!

Pineapple Orange Banana Smoothie

1 cup orange juice, I used the juice from about 5 small tangelos
1 cup chopped pineapple, frozen
1 banana
5 coconut water ice cubes, or about 1/3 cup of coconut water

Layer ingredients into blender as listed and puree until smooth. Enjoy!

Makes (3) 8 oz smoothies
